white pvc to Black


hey is there anyway to turn white pvc in the tank to black?
Like painting it or something thats not toxic? thanks

Hi Casey;

I don't know that I'd try to paint anything that was going in-tank. Hopefully the PVC will be covered with coraline before much longer and it will be a moot point soon

I'm going to move this over to the general reef discussion for you so that it gets more air time

Actually, if you haven't plumbed the tank yet, you can get black pvc. That would be better than trying to paint the white.

There is a PVC primer that is purple. Let it cure for a few hours and it's the same color as coralline.

uurt I tried to get black but it isnt available around my neck of the woods,Good Idea Rik o on the primer might try that
