white bugs

i have little white bugs crawling all over my glass ...there so small i dont think a pic would help ...they seem to like the spots of coraline algae on the glass because they bunch together on it but they are also scattered all over the rest of the glass ....any ideas as to what they are?

copepods are considerably smaller than amphipods (which you're describing). I suspect you're seeing copepods.

+1 on the copepods...nothing to worry about IMO, i have them all over my refugium. they're a great natural source of food for your fish. wrasses love 'em, pipefish & dragonets practically survive on them if they're not trained to accept frozen foods.

I wish I had a Copepod problem. I'd go out and get a healthy Mandarin! Very cool fish if they decide to eat and if you have the bugs, which sound like you do!

The first one is a copepod, they are much smaller then a amphipod, copepods are very very very small, about the size of a pin head. Amphipods are much larger. Theres a picture for comparison of the two.
