white + actincs = total watts

does any one have a thought on this. If I have pc fixture with 192 total watts 96 watts are 10000k white and 96 watts 03 actincs do I really have 192 watts of light or would that be divided to half and half so I really only have 96 watts of light. I know this might be confusing but compare it to a 175 mh light would I have more watts with the one mh light or the duel 192 pc fixture. hopefully sombody can spread some light on this.

it is the combined watts. the problem comes when you are comparing flourescent light wattage to MH wattage.

flourescents are considered an indirect light source, while the MH's are considered a point source.
