which is better to have a wet/dry or sump filter

I have a 29 gal small reef tank. I want to upgrade the filter and saw Eshopps Wet-Dry Filters and also saw Eshopps reef sumps. I am only going to have soft corals, leathers and polyps. Any suggestions?

A wet/dry is going to cause more harm than good in a reef setup. What are you planning on putting in a sump? A sump by itself does not really filter, but adds water volume and holds filters.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

I agree, I would get the sump and either make it a fuge, or get a good skimmer to put in it. Or both if you have the room.

Get a 10 gallon sump and an auto top off and you will be happy as anything. Ohh and maybe a Octopus DNW-110. Then you would be in awesome shape.
