I never did a search online for it. I am using that unit and i bought it

from our sponsor. A great unit. Do you happen to know your water

temp and pressure at the faucet? It makes a huge difference in the output.

I purchased the Mako from them - really nice people always there to answer questions. They are sponsors of the forum as well. Here is a post I made somewhere else on the site:

I also use it for watering the parrots that I have. They are very sensitive to contaminates in water since they really haven't evolved to process a lot of junk in their drinking water as many other pets have. My birds are not wild caught, but they're not too far from wild caught ancestry.

Back to the RO/DI: The unit I have is actually about 7 stages since I have two canisters that remove chloramine from the water. This greatly extends the life of your membranes if you have chloramine in your city water. It's an initial expense that saves money later down the road. I wholeheartedly recommend this unit. They also offer a 40g drum that holds water with a float valve that triggers an auto-shut off. This is a great extra.

I spent more than necessary, but I feel I got a great product and it was definitely worth every penny.

HTH,
Melissa
