I may be overdoing it, but better too much than too little. I have 5 ph's in my 125. Three of them circulate primarily top water, the more circulation there the better. The other two are at different levels at opposing ends of the tank. I am going to order a SCWD early next week. Hopefully that will allow me to eliminate at least two of the current ones. The more water the movement the better in most cases. So... anyway, I would place one of them to do nothing more than circulate top water. The other one is a matter of preference and coral needs.
