where can I get my tank drilled in upstate SC?

Getting ready to set up my 30 gal long tank and I need to get it drilled for a corner overflow. I called a local glass shop and they said they only had bits for 2 inch or 1 1/4 inch hole. Well, my 1 inch bulkhead requires a 1 3/4 inche hole. So, does anybody know of a shop or person who could help or should I try to enlarge a 1 1/4 inch hole? I live in Spartanburg, BTW. Thanks, HG

Almost forgot, my tank is an All Glass aquarium and it doesn't specifically say it is tempered glass. Does anyone know if it is or should I assume that it isn't. Thanks, HG

I'm not sure about a 30 long having a tempered bottom ( aga can tell you) but you can drill the back.
Chuck at Aquarium Oddities in Greenville will do it for you. I don't have his # but his store is just off of I 85

Aquarium odities in Mauldin, $120 or 125 as j;e, and Chuck has the stufr to make a high quality hole in plain glass. I am pretty sure thebottom of 30G AGA tanks are tempered though, just put the holes in the back side pane of glass.

I guess I will have to call AGA to find out if its tempered glass on the bottom. Would it be easier to get the glass shop to cut a hole and then widen it to fit the bulkhead?

I'd look up Chucks # and call him. Tell him Timmy sent you.
and let us know what he is charging.

Drilling it yourself is an option and there is a member of the club here that may loan you a bit. I used his to do my sump.

Just called AGA customer service, they said that the bottom of the 30g tank is not tempered.
