When do i worry???

I am now, but I am not sure it is totally founded. The lawnmower blenny that has been MIA now for over a week still has not shown up. Still no ammonia spike or inverts flocking to a specific area, so if he is dead he isn't rotting yet.

He was the biggest fish in the tank and there is no way he could have fit into my overflow box/u-tube, but I checked them anyway and they are clear.

I still cannot locate him anywhere? Do you think he is still alive somewhere hiding out?

When my lawnmower blenny wants to be invisible, he's invisible. You can search endlessly looking for him in the rocks to no avail and then all of a sudden he's swimming around. What was his normal behavior? Mine is invisible at night and is out about 50% of the time during the day.

I only had him about a month, he used to hang out in a "swim through" area of stacked rock with the cleaner shrimp and also hang out on some of the lower rocks when he was grazing. It is marshall island rock and he has ducked into the holes (him and the royal gramma liked the same one, come to think of it the RG hasn't ventured in there lately, maybe the LB set up house)

He never really worked the glass, just ate off the rocks.

Okay it has been over a month now and still no blenny, the Gramma does venture into that hole they used to share. I check at night when I get home and early morning...still no fish. Also there has been no ammonia spikes and water parameters are good.

Wait it out some more? I saw a very small scooter blenny about 1.5" at the LFS for $9.95 and if you think the LM is gone I would consider picking him it up. Obviously if the LM is still in there the scooter is a goner.

Wait another month?

The LM can be aggressive towards similar looking blennys and the scooter is probably smaller too.
