You could have done what I do. I would have just bought it and dealt with her wrath later.  
Once I got it, there's nothin she can do about it.

That's alright she has made some pretty cool purchases as far as my tank goes, so no real complaints.

As promised here are a couple shots of some of my current LPS that I am fond of. When I'm feeling a little richer I want/plan to add some nicely colored Acans and Favias.
My Brain (no cheap jokes please, LOL!) This guy has really grown and is a good 8"+ these days:
And my five different varieties of blast together on one rock. These guys have grown well too, the largest (with the dark orange center) is about 3":
