Question

What's you opinion?

You guys are experienced which light do you think is better? They both are about $600-700 and is that too much to pay?

I'll jump in first. I think VHO's are better as far as spectrum is concerned, assuming you will use the fluorescents for actinic light.
My question to you is: "Is your tank shallow enough for 175W's"? 250's don't cost radically more and produce a radical increase in intensity and depth penetration!

55gal I think I want a lether coral, some acropora, green star polyps, an anemone, mushrooms, maybe a brain coral, and some zoanthid.
