whats wrong...


well my button coral frag who was on its way to becomeing 3 from 2 has stopped blooming and now i noticed that it has a whitish color around the base and in a few specks on the head of the coral is this signs of it dieing or what? im afraid im gonna lose it i dont want to its so pretty and and and

I would just keep an eye on it. My buttons would go through those stages as well. They would stay closed for a few days, with white specs on them, and then boom, they would shed their skin, and be open again. Just keep an eye on them.

What are the conditions of your tank? What kind of flow do they have?

Calaustrea are usually pretty hardy IME. The only time I've seen them go bad is when they are physically damaged like getting stung or getting tissue scraped acidentally.

oh i never thought of that eariler one of my conchs or snails knocke it off a rock onto the sand where the conches were and i had to dig him up. ya know im haveing some sorta dish with snails in it tonight
needless to say it has not improved
