Clowns are funny. They will HOST anything. Could be an anemone or a heater. It all depends. I have had them host plastic boxes in q/t. You could try hairy mushrooms. They are cheap and even if the clowns do not host, you will be happy with the shrooms. Good luck.

My suggestion would be to buy what you like or what you think looks good in your tank. That way if they don't host it you won't be to disapointed. As Peanut said clowns are funny sometimes they will host one thing sometimes they wont. I once bought a bubble tip (rose colored) because a clown was hosting one at the LFS but the ones I had wouldn't touch it. But from what I have seen fuzzy mushrooms and frogspawn have worked in others tanks but not mine.

My two clowns used to host a seashell back when I had a fish only tank. Now they just sort of wobble all over the tank even though I have various corals. I would love for them to host my xenia...but we'll see. good luck!
