what to put in frag tank?

So im setting up a frag tank with only egg crate no substrate. What are the main things to have to keep detritus and algae in control? i was thinking assorted snails, serpent star, but no hermits bc it would be hard for them to maneuver thru it... any other inverts to help control excess food and algae? o yea tank is too small for a yellow tang... its only 7"H, 35"L, 20"D...egg crate about .5" raised from bottom... and should i keep any in the sump/fuge? have alot of live rock, mangroves, and a good bubble trap with foam pads inserted to block any critters from getting into return pump area... thanks for any help guys.

you could put a worker fish in there like a sixline wrasse

i see you have liverock, mangroves, and a bubbletrap. but do you have a skimmer?

How are you going to have it plumbed? overflow from main tank via frag to sump or what?
Sections of eggcrate so you can siphon debris, the more cleaners you add the more waste they will produce
