What tests for tap water

Got a whole house filtration system and I am hoping it will make the water good enought so that I do not need a RO system. I got nitrite, nitrate, ph, hardess, alkanlinity (5 in one dip), phosphate and ammonia. Any other tests you woudl do prior to filling the tank?

This filter supposidly removes everything, has a list of like 50 things it removes from the water. Can't wait to finally fill the tank and test out the and calibrate the overflow, sump and pump.

Then lights (still contemplating what type) and LR.

Thanks

Not a chance on the raw tap water. You will need some more filtration after it goes throught what you have.

If on city water, you will have many chems you will want out, if your on a well, there is a list of other things you need to remove.

I second to Loverotties.. You need to test your water using a TDS meter.. If the reading is ZERO, then you can use it for your reef tank. Otherwise, you will have tons of problems down the road.

A R.O unit is the best investment you could make in this hobby.

I have a TDS made by HM Digital and it comes with my R.O/DI Unit.. It is already factory calibrated with NaCI 342 PPM adjustable.

It can be used to check the temp of both air and water too.

I never calibrated it myself. It has been giving me very acurate reading.
My tap here at 45 PPM and R.O/DI is always 0 PPM
