what kind of worm is this?

sorry no pic, they are too small. I have these little what look like shells starting to pop up on everything i got. They are about 1/16" to 1/8" and the shells on the glass and stuff look like almost full circles, not quite completing a circle. Maybe you could call them little curly q's? Any ideas?

Oh, I think everyone has them. I know what you're talking about, but I can't think of a name. They aren't a problem, if you're wondering.
