What is up with my skimmer...help

I have the RED SEA MAX 250 (66 gallons) and I had no choice but to treat the tank with Maracyn due to a bacterial iinfection on 2 of my regal tangs. I have no QT tank; but I will now for the future.
My coral all survived (thank god). I did a 50% water change put the carbon back in and my skimmer goes nuts no matter how I adjust it.
It fills my tank with bubbles so thick you can barely see the live rock.
Why is it doing this? I can not run it

Yep, some of those chemicals will do that. Gotta turn your skimmer off for a day or 2 then try it again...

Your tank is way to small for one Regal let alone two!The poor Tangs! They need a bigger tank to exercise.

yup... more than likely a major factor behind the infection...

It is recommended that the smallest tank is 40 gal. for the regal. I have a 66. highly doubt him being in the tank was the problem, but thanks for your help.
I only have one regal. Meant to hit 1. He was like that when I got him but not so bad. Didn't notice till it got worse. Now he is cured and very happy in there. Only 2 inches big now.

Anyhow I was asking about my skimmer not what fish are in my tank. Anyone know anything about the red sea max 250 tanks? My skimmer is going crazy since the medication.

Nothing can hang off the back of my tank. Everything is self contained in chambers on the back. The skimmer slides down a slot and the lid with the lights cover everything! So i don't believe I can switch the skimmer.

Tunze skimmer will fit inside and you certainly can switch the skimmer.

That skimmer might fit in the slot but i would not be able to close the lid and flap wit h the cup on that skimmer. I am going to let it run a couple more days then i will pull it and take a pic so you can see what I am talking about. Here are some of the tank with lid closed and open. 1 plug runs the whole tank because it has a built in surge protector all labeled on where to plug in components. Super clean setup;However...

I have seen the RSM up close, it's nothing new. The tunze skimmer will fit without leaving the lid open or modifying it. Some people have removed the back flap for ease of access but others have managed to make it work with the flap still on. A Google search will get you some pics and info.
