I've never tried live, mine goes ape for frozen brine. It never liked the formula one or two cubes though, only foxface and lawnmower will eat those

You should try the new RDF Formula 1 and 2 that Fat Tony suggested. It's already broken down into bite sized pieces unlike the old Formula gel cubes and fish go crazy over it. Formula 1 is based on a recipe developed initially for breeding clownfish and it's one of the most complete foods available. Formula 2 is perfect for fish requiring some veggies in their diet.

Brine shrimp whether live, frozen or even enriched are of little nutritional value and should not be fed as a large part of a fishes diet. Your fish may eat it readily but that doesn't mean it's doing them much good nutritionally.

I didn't know they changed it, the old ones just made a mess and most of the particulate was too small for my fish.

Give the RDF a try... you will love it!

Formula 1 for Carnivores
Formula 2 for Omnivores/Herbivores (what I use, kind of a best all around mix)

Tried some Brine soaked in garlic. My Kole still won't touch anything added to the tank. He pics constanly and the rocks and glass and poops an awful lot. I guess it is still a waiting game.

Koles are a bristletooth tang and like to feed on algae. Try Nori, red or green (dried algae) tear off a strip and fold it up and use a clip designed to feed it (some lok like clownfish)
