what in the??eggs maybe?


i dont know what this is but i was cleaning my tank today and this popped up. Its not exactly a clear shot of it but it looks like white stems or maybe like a brain...i dont know but what is this???

hmm... do you have a tripod? or are you able to use a faster shutter speed?
also try turning off the pumps when you take the picture so that you dont get little white things buzzing by in the pic

looks like eggs from either a nudibranch or snail... or it could be a sponge. what coral do you have in the tank?

hard to tell but looks like a sponge to me. found one in my tank not long ago. blow it off with a baster and look close. if its a sponge you'll see all the pores.

does it look like sponge? really pourous? or like eggs inside a webbing type stuff? if it looks like sponge, it is, did you flip that rock recently, usually they grow underneath rocks. or out of the light mainly.

I bet it's a sponge, you can finde them in the dark spots of the rocks. They are good, they will use up silicate as they grow.

i flipped it just today, it looks like webbing almost, like in the begining of spiderman the movie. it doesnt really look like pours though

It looks like an encrusting Clathria sp sponge, that is not doing to well.
