Quick question. What is the average flow rate of your powerheads to your protein skimmers?? I have a 55 gallon tank with wet/dry filter. In the
wet dry filter (it also acts as a sump) I have a
protein skimmer. I can't remember what brand it is.....compared to some of the protein skimmers I think mine is average in size (I bought it from a guy who used it on a 120 gallon) RIght now I am using a MaxiJet 900 (around 250-260 gph) to power this baby but I really don't think it's enough. I was thinking of purchasing a Rio 2100 (around 690 gph). Does this sound about right? I'm curious how powerful everyone elses powerheads/pumps are to their protein skimmers (given that they run a similar sized tank)
