what does brown jelly look like. . .

Ok, I've tried searching pics of brown jelly with very little luck. I may or may not be having a situation with my torch. I noticed brown curls of stuff (brown) coming from the fleshy part of the torch. Upon further inspection it looked almost a "ball" of stringy matter.

Its not coming from the mouth and not at the very edge of the flesh, it just is kinda there.

I tried sucking it out, but it didn't come, and in fact retracted back in and disapeared from sight, thus I don't think it is brown jelly . . . thoughts.

He has been moved a ton recently from an episode that included a loss of rock stability do to my freakin' goby. . . . . I have moved him into higher light recently becasue of bleaching but his arms still fully extend.

I tried taking a picture, before they sucked back in, but was unable to since they were decently small (my guess is that the "ball" of stringy stuff was about the size of a pea.

Water parameters are right on . . . any ideas?

brown jelly looks like brown algae slime. It is accompanied by tissue loss. It may just be poop that he has caught with his tenticles. Does the tissue look bad at all? If not just keep and eye on him. If you do see tissue loss remove the torch the stuff will spread to other corals, do water change and run carbon if you don't already.

if it's brown jelly,

it will go fast, and I mean FAST

I lost 3/4" of my frogspawn to brown jelly over night
(10 heads)

if you think it's brown jelly, cut off the infected branches and throw them away

it was the only way I was able to stop it
