What do you think?

Ok guys, I got your opinion on if a refugium is worth haveing if underneath a tank. It was an overall YES response, so this is my sketch of the sump/refugium that I am wanting to build.

The tank I will be making it out of is a 40L gallon tank AGA. I am going to be using it on a 90AGA reed tank. I sketch it out as best I could, so hit me with your opinions! (sorry about the image).

By the way, on the sump side, half of the first part is going to be a place for a hang on the back skimmer that I already own, that is why it may look a little funny. The other half in the water coming from the overflow with a place for filter media.

In general for sumps having a higher seperator for the first section and a lower seperator for the second section will allow you to keep a steady level in the section holding your skimmer. This will allow you to not have to ajust your skimmer as much and also stop thing you are trying to grow from getting killed in your skimmer. This comment is ofcourse assuming that I am reading your diagram correctly.
