What are these little bugs??

Hi all............just have a quick question regarding tiny little bugs crawling on my LR. Haven't noticed them before but now there seem to be several of them. Is this a bad thing and if so how do I get rid of them?

Welcome aboard, Mel13anie!! w000000000000000000000000000000t!!!

It's most likely a pod of some sort, and they are good!! They will scavenge for food or perhaps become food for your fish.

Welcome to TRT!!!

Can you post a picture, more then likely very harmless and normal, if the tank is new You will be seeing alot of things in the future. But can say without a picture or more details about the way they look

The tank is very new.......about 3months old. I am at work right now so I am not able to post a pic but I can tell you that they are very very tiny and kind of clear and oval shaped. Does that help?

Have to agree with pods. Are they red though? Then it is a different story.

What are they if they are red??

There are actually many red or reddish pods, the tiny red bugs that eveybody talks and worries about irritating their acros are a parasitic amphipod, there is alos a larger verison of these that are common on peoples glass and rocks that are perfectly harmless as well as much more common than the little bothersome ones
