Last night I was watching my tank with the moonlight on because thats pretty much the only time the popm pom crabs come out at right now and I saw these guys open and closing and letting out these huge bubbles!!Are they clams, mussels,or what?Whatever they are they were loving the reef food!

filter feeders for sure, I don't think you need to feed them if you are using frozen or prepared foods.

Optimus, if you copy and paste the IMG address instead of the URL, the pic will automatically appear on the post. It's the address on the bottom of the pic frame.

they are fairly common. most people do not realize they have them. they are rock boring clams, i think. they are great filter feeders. they actually can live for quite a while in some of our systems. softie, LPS systems have a better chance of keeping them alive than an SPS clean system. the bore into the LR forming tunnels. if you have a nice round hole in your LR that looks like a drill bit was used, this is your critter. they are very common on Caribbean LR. where did you get the LR?
caution- note exactly where these critters are when rearranging your tank. they will violently expell water when rapidly removed from the tank!! have been shot many times over the years by these guys. had one spray a wall several feed away, not to mention square in the eye.
