What are 'AB' bulbs?
I'm looking at this unit from Aquamedic
9" 1 x 150W 10K HQI pendant Includes remote ballast - AB bulb - hanging kit
What is an 'ab' bulb?

One of my all time favorite bulbs. I have had good luck with Aquamedic fixtures in the past.

They are good bulbs. I've used them myself. They do tend to be a bit more expensive but you don't have to replace them with ABs when they are out of life.

Their 10K bulb, if I remember right, has the output of 14K.

Not sure if I like that...I'd prefer a 10K to output 10K and a 14K to output 14K...just predictability.

Thought about that but I am specifically looking for something in the 9 ~ 12 " size that also has good wattage. I can't find any t5 fixtures that fall into that category.
