Just an update

I don't have anyone else to talk to but all of you, so thanks.
I just put up my molding tonight and my tank is so beautiful. The rest of my rock is in the air from florida, which is good because the 60 pounds that is in there now is dying. My numbers are perfect, Ca is around 450ppm, Nitrates 0, Ammonia 0, Ph 8.5, Alk 180-220ppm. There are no critters yet. Question 1: Can anyone roughly tell me the average time for normal die-off and ammonia spike? I want to get the critters in there ASAP. Question 2: I am adding nothing else to the water but generic Ca chlor. What is your recommendation on additives? I will not be stocking corals for a long while; i've decided to read first and let the tank cycle for a while. I cannot afford a CA reactor for another few months.
The nice purple coraline is receding. I've been reading this board and I've seen different ways to handle the situation. I am trying to decide on the most efficent way to take care of this.
Thank you all for listening. I hope the holidays go well for you.
