Whale pics

Thought you might like to see some pics of Humpbacks taken on a whale watch we went on this week off the coast of Plymouth Ma. We were lucky enough to see about 25 different Humpbacks along with some Minke's. We even saw a grandmother and her grandaughter.

Great experience, the whales were feeding on the surface. At one time we had 4 individual bubble traps surrounding the boat. We also observed some feeding by tail slapping.

Very nice pics of bubble netting!!!

Sigh.
All we get over here are Minke's, Sperm Whales, and dolphins.

Hi Bill-e! Great pics of bubble netting! I watched a special one time showing how they circle their prey in the bubble net and then move in!! I saw a whale off a fish boat I was on off the coast of Westport, Washington and it was about a 100 yards away and I still could not believe the size of this animal. Johnny

Amazing pics, Bill! You just don't realize how awe inspiring whales are until you can get up close. We have the annual Grey Whale migration here and it's just incredible.
