Kewl its just a hop over the mountains for you, Since I am now working nights I am playing coordinating a convoy by ear for the time being but we have about 5 weeks to pull it together

Im still bummed about the date. I have to choose between this, a bacteria class, and country fair.

Lets see, a reefer party, or I can dig up wifes old micro books, or you can go to the fair and eat junk food, ride rides and get hungry again after the post hurl nausea passes 
All I know is that at some point sat am I heading to Roberts, the exact time will be determined by my work schedule, I may need some one to meet my in Medford and drive but the road trip is on

One other note, we encourage everyone to bring a CD or two since the patio has speakers built in. We WILL have music going, a new central air unit will be in by then two so we will be able to excape the heat for those not used to it. Going to nail down some rates today and get with Doug to start ironing out the details.
Also as a reminder, kids are more than welcome, w have two 5 year old girls an 11 year old boy and a park next to us. We also have a new fully enclosed trampoline.

Well, most of the Managers were working today so heres what I have so far for Hotels.
Best Western (nice, Ive stayed there) $119.99 per room per night.
Holiday Inn Express (newer Hotel right on I-5) $94.00 a night one or two beds, 10 room minimum for rate.
River Inn, ( my ex-inlaws stay there and like it and they are picky)
1 queen room is $63.00
2 queen room is $72.00
1 king room with water view is $76.00
I explained to all that this is the first year for an annual event that will more than likely grow in order to let them know that treating us right will only help the hotel.
The River Inn is in a quiet area near the Sacrmento river and easy to get to my house. They are all pretty close actually.
I am going to call a few more tommorow including the Red Lion and the Hampton.
It looks like the River Inn is the winnner though.
In order to get the rates we would do best to nail down some strong numbers.
So, thats where we are at as of now. Ideas and suggestions are welcome. For anyone with an RV there are a few RV parks here also, just let me know.

Probably cheaper to fly these days with that kinda distance. I hear ya on the gas prices. Its insane.

Well flying has its disadvantages also .
like when i got there i would have to rent a car
pay gas any way besides the cost of the plane ticket.
ect ect but theres a list of pros and cons with everything lol
i will be looking in to it as i go along and we will see

Are there hookups at the park near you? I think I talked the wife into coming and we are bringing our 2 year old girl. whats going on at the event and where are you at in Redding? Just running down from Ashland and may have room for the drive only in the camper van. people swaping frags? got lazy and didn't want to read the whold forum
