Well I will be driving from Southern California to my Mom's in Medford Oregon the week after the get together... I may just need to rethink my days to make my pass through Redding on the 19th 
I will let you guys know for sure... Sounds great! I would love to meet everyone for real. it is fun to put faces to names.

You should do that, it will be more fun than Here in Medford , sides it will break up the monotony of that long drive up 5

Doug...let me know what day you plan on leaving for Redding. I've set alerts for cheap flights to Medford, and Redding. I'm not going to spend all day driving if I can help it. LOL

Ive had a heck of a time nailing down anything on the hotels, that should change after this weekend. Kool April Nights is a large car event held here every year. The hotels are very busy.
I think most of the details wil have to be dealt with as we get closer and can nail down some numbers with more accuracy.

I have confirmed by their site that Southwest WILL NOT allow animals of ANY KIND in checked or carry-on baggage. I am still looking for a ride.

for the portland folks...
Southwest has rates to Sacramento as low as $60 one way for a red-eye. Otherwise it is pretty much a straight shot down I5 and Mapquest estimated it at a little over 6 hrs drive, probably more like 8. and doug may be willing to be a halfway point if that is needed... but i would need to ask- doug?
I am looking for a ride since my car has issues making it around portland. thoughts?

Yup, just down the 5! 6 hrs sounds about right. The good news is that I have been busy in the garage and placing orders so the tank should be up and running in full swing by then!
