December 7th!
Good Morning, Tom & Everybody!
Tom, been up a little while and typing as you posted! I'm ready for my second cup.
Chilly 20 but a fair day today; waiting to see what the 'Winter Event' will bring us overnight, though!
Just a long day of work for me today.
Last Summer, on our Great Western Tour, I spotted three aircraft carriers docked at San Diego's Treasure Island Naval Base, a rare sight to see in these days of heightened security. I am reminded that on Dec. 7th, 1941, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor had as one of it's main goals the destruction of the US aircraft carriers. Fortunately, the three Pacific Fleet carriers were all out to sea and proved to be critical to the US forces in the early part of WWII. My thoughts this day are of those who gave their lives in the service of our country at Pearl Harbor and in ensuing four terrible years and President Roosevelt's memorable words.
Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everyone!
Dick

Good Mawnin, Tom, Dick, George, Vince, Tim, and all of TRT!
Slurrrpp! Thanks for the coffee, Tom. BTW...did you get the email about Tony's visit yet? I re-sent it last night.
Thanks for the beautiful memorial you posted, Dick. One of Dad's brothers was playing in the band on the Pennsylvania that day. The day before, his ship and the Arizona had a band competition of some sort, and which ever band one got to sleep in the next day. Arizona won. And that's why I grew up knowing my uncle. God's peace to those fallen.
On with the day, gang! Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone.

GOOD MORNING CRUSTY CREW!!!
Jeeze, just went out to get the paper down at the road, I just about froze my butt off, 26F here, and it is wwwaaaayyyy too cold! (well, maybe I should have worn more than a sweatshirt and jeans...)
I can't imagine sub-zero temps, or Perry's morning at work.
Man, I was washing the car last week in shorts and no shirt.

Good Morning, Vince, George, Tim, Kelli, Cath, Brent, & Tom again!
Cath, that is a remarkable story about your uncle. I'm sure this date has special significance for your family.
Brent, it's just a good thing that the Hornet, Enterprise, and Yorktown weren't lined up like the three in the picture that date in Pearl Harbor!
Tom, no car wash today???
Time for me to head to work now....have a great day!

Morning everyone!!
We are having a cold snap and depending on which thermometer you read it is about 25 below zero. Yesterday I handled it at -10 so we will have to see how this goes and what equipment will decide to run.
We have our first meeting with the new boss tonight at the restaurant. He hired the derelicts back and gave everyone a clean slate, which sucks for us that don't steal and deal crack at work.
Have a great Hump Day.
