Thumbs up

website review....

anyone with a spare minute or two feel like critiquing my website?

i had nothign to do today, since i can't play with my tank anymore so i decided to toss together a site for my new reef, as it progresses.

some of the pages, aren't yet complete, hey, i can only do so much in one day

i'll have my photos and docs on line soon enough though. the links section does have a link and compliment to TRt though so i think that's really all that matters lol.

anyone, if you have a chance, check it out. just wondering how it loads for non high speed folk ,and particularly, those of you going against the grain and using anythign out side of microsoft. ( i have a lot of javascript, but it's only been tested with IE)

thanks - jay

thanks for the replies everyone.. i'll have the rest put together soon enough, but the majority of the info you'll find there, will be stuff i've learned from here

my main goal is just to show the tank, and it's progress, and hopefully direct more people to TheReefTank, so they'll be successfull, particularly if they are beginners.

_ReefFer_ my tank is even newer than that! lol it's about 4 days old!! actually i setup my first FO tank about 2 months ago, just to get my feet wet, but i was using left over hanging around stuff from my FW tanks. so it has HOT power filters etc...

this new tank is being setup through much question asking and advice from folks here. right now it has bio balls in the wet/dry, but they'll be removed slowly, after the rest of the live rock is added.

i plan to cycel for two months before introducing my fish into it, or until the cycle is complete.

thanks agian everyone. time for dinner now. my daughter is demanding i make homemade spaghetti AND homemade meatballs.....sigh.... sometimes i almost wish i wasn't a single dad lol

thanks again everyone.. hey rick thereeftank DESERVES a good plug everyone here is helpfull. i wish ALL newbies like me would find their way here!!!

pics coming soon casey, i promise! but right now it'll jsut be pics of my boring old rock lol (althoguh i do have some pics of the blue damsel and the coral beauty in the temp tank, and of course, my killer emerald crab )

Alex, good to see you again! thought you left us! Me, hooked....nah No seriously, i have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) but my biggest problem is that once i get hooked, i STAY hooked!!! and of course, everything MUST match....

for instance: my wet/dry and skimmer are clear with blue highlights, made by aqua clear aquatics. my skimemr drains to a holding jug (not supplied) so it was recommended i use a milk jug and pop a hole in the top...well the milk jug had an orange top. so today i jsut COULD NOT take it anymore, went and bought a gallon of milk that had a blue top, so i could use it on my drainage jug now i'm content, everything matches lol

Yeah! Nice display fatman. Congratulations!
It looks like the website fever is invading TRT amongst us newcomers. After viewing a lot of excellent sites from TRT fellows (from where I got loads of excellent info), I decided I put together a website myself too. Like the rest, I thought it was good and fun to document my experience and share it with others.
Mine is still under heavy construction. I don't have much to write about yet, but I'll share with you "the trailer" very soon!.

here's to your website! TFM!
