Way to reduce bubbles from an ASM G3

I currently have the gate valve mod done as seen here. The output is about 3" under the water level.

Or are these output bubbles the way it is. The create micro bubbles if the water level in the other half of the sump get low.

do you have baffles?

I cant tell from you picture, if not they are imperative. I actually have done a couple of other things as well, but the baffles eliminate 90+ percent of them.

Yes I have baffles...but was wondering how to reduce the bubbles from the output still.

I plan to put a sponge between them which should almost solve this, if I do have some bubble escape the baffles..

However, I'd imagine all the bubbles will inevitably create a lot of salt creep on the sump.

After i rebuilt and "perfected" (so i think) my baffles i still had air bubbles too. My skimmer is outside the sump, but you might be able to do something similar to what i did which DID eliminate the bubbles.

Where my skimmer comes in I have it going into a T instead of a 90, mainly to help control the water level in my skimmer(thanks Tom), but i think it helped with bubbles too. But the main thing is that I have the bottom end of the T i pipedown to within a couple inches of the bottom of the sump and partition that corner of the sump off so the water is forced to come all the way to the top immediately before entering the rest of the sump. So with my set-up i just have a four inch corner of my sump walled off.

Dont know if you can incorporate that or not with your set up but it works great.

No, MR-2. I think the bubble problems dont discriminate though.

ttt

So would putting an elbow where the current T is and a T at the water level help the bubble issue?

Or just use 2 T's?
Or don't bother?
