Water Quality

Question? I was told to stay away from GlacierWater vending machines for my water changes because the machine pulls all trace elements from the water. I assumed that by adding the saltwater mixes it would put back all the minerals needed for the reef tank. Is this true or false? please help....

I respectfully disagree... Glacier is RO water similar to RO that we use/buy in LFS.

After I quit working for another LFS and for the year before I opened my own, I used Glacier water for the tanks I was maintaining for clients, as well as my own. Never had any problems.

Good quality salt mixes contain trace elements and if you have a heavy bioload that depletes any or all elements, as long as you're testing, you can supplement if needed.

I never had any problems with Glacier, and I know many people who use it.

HTH
