water flow?

I feel like I already posted this but it was a long day yesterday! I have my 75 with a rio 1700 (no reviews please) on the wet/dry filter skimmer. I also have a mag9.5 for return. I have a mj 1200 also. Technically I thought I needed more power heads,, but everything is being REALLY pushed around. Am I missing something? Seems like enough flow to me.

as you add more rock, the flow will start to slow down from hitting all the rocks, not the wide open space you have now

and as the tank matures, the pumps will slow down
