Water Chillers help

I got my chiller up and running. Its about 2 feet from the tank. I have the pump for the sump going to the chiller and than going from the chiller to the tank. The water going into the tank is virtualy nothing. Wondering what I can do to fix it. I have two powerheads in it just for some cycling. I was thinking of getting a bigger pump but I dont no what size would work

The Chiller is a Pacific Coast Import CL-280. And the Sump pump doesnt tell me anything except that it is Type E 120v. But the tank size is 54 corner. If that helps

You need a flow of 500 to 800 GPH through that chiller.

What type of pump do you have on it? Water flow 300gph minimum/600gph maxim through the unit. A mag-5 seems perfect

Now Includes Dual Controller. Can control temp on the chiller and your existing heater.

H
CL-280 Aquarium Chiller unit.

High quality, durable, completely enclosed. Digital control Titanium heat exchanger.

Water flow 500gph minimum 800gph maximum
hose connections 1/2" or 5/8"

12"L x 12" W x 13.5" H

10 degree cooling up to 100 gallons
30 degree cooling up to 60 gallons

Don't let this small size fool you. This is an true chiller and very powerful for it's size. Some customers are using these on 150 gallon tanks. So if you do not need much drop in temp, you can use these on even large tanks.

38db noise rating

Yes you need the right amount of flow for it to work the way it is suppose to also low flow through it will shorten its life span.
It is a darn good chiller.
