thinking about getting one of these, question is in the absence of a pistol shrimp will the watchmen make pals with any other kinds of shrimp?

Hmmmmmmm not sure, tho since most of the other common shrimp in the trade aren't burrowers I don't see much common ground for an alternative lifestyle there

I rather doubt it. Ours loved only his pistol shrimp, and he outlasted three pistols! I have their pics in the new "photo album" under "fish".

Oh, and the pistol shrimp will upend any and all rockwork. We started ours in the 30G, and fairly quickly had to tear it down, catch them, and put them in the 10G, which he lived in happily for 4 years.
