Did you "plant" that macro-algae at the bottom of the tank or did it spring up on its own?

I had a little growing on some LR I had bought and I thought it looked kinda cool so I added some more. Plus I am running skimmerless and sumpless so when I found out it helps keep your nitrates down I was sold on it!
