it's not as good as RO/DI, but WAY better than tap-water.

But I assure you...in a very short period of time, you'll find a way to get that RO/DI unit. Because you're gonna get sick of buying/transporting/luggin' around all those Distilled water jugs!

but yes....in the interim...it's a good way to go.

Mike I was thinking the same thing, But Tom has some good imput on this. Here read this Tread.

Read it . I never used distilled water and was thinking it was better to buy the RO drinking water.

The point I think that's being missed...is RO/DI you get at the store, vs RO/DI we make at home.

The problem is the leeway stores are allowed with their filtration.

But at home, where we change our filters regularly, and my output water has 0 ppm (99.9% filtered)...I find it hard to believe that distilled water is better than that.

But I could be wrong.

Before I got a RO/DI I used the glacier water machine at my local supermarket (publix) I am in FL and I dont think you all have publix supermarkets. Anyways it was 25 cents a gallon and the TDS meter said it was at 6ppm
