Waiting for RO/DI is like watching grass grow

Well, I finally got the new RO/DI unit hooked up, and am working on doing a water change...
hopefully, I'll have my 15 gallons of water by midnight.
I never really realized just how slow these units produce water... I have an 85gpd model so I figured it would be more than enough for my ~65 gallon system.
Well... GPD must mean gallons per decade...

At first I thought it was going to fill the tub pretty quick... then the 4 gallon reservoir emptied...

I'm sure the unit is running just fine, but I figured I'd post a thread to break up the monotony of waiting... it looks like I'm gonna be here awhile.

Hopefully I can banish my diatoms to the land of wind and ghosts...

My RO/DI reminds me of the old rock song Slow Ride!
I wish i had spent just a lil more and got the 100 GPD or bigger.

The thing that most of the RO/DI manufactures forget to tell you is that their GPD rating is based on 70-degree water @ 60 PSI. And for each degree below 70 it reduces the output by 1.3% So in my case here in Michigan with 42-degree water (in winter) The output of my 100 GPD unit is around 60 GPD (2.5 gph)
It takes me over 12 hours to fill my 32 gal storage tank!
