I'll tell ya from what I have heard, the Korallia has the widest stream out there. It is almost to a fault. I think it does not travel as far across the tank because it is so wide, but I have 2 on each end of my tank and I think they meet somewhere in the middle (6' - 125 gal) so they work for me.

Here are my pro's and con's:

Pro's:
- reduced power consumption (8kw for 1200gph)
- wide, gentle flow
- magnet attachment
- easily adjustable
- price (got mine for $42 each new)
- easy to clean...very simple design

Cons:
- not too strong on the distance the flow travel's
- size (about the size of a soda can)

here is a pic so you can see the size...
Just eyeballing it, but those seem to be MUCH larger...JMHO, but if aesthetics are a concern, it is worth the extra $20 for a nanostream, especially in a 29 g where space is at a premium.

Mcliffy...I don't think you would want the 4's in a 29 gal anway...I think the other's (1's, 2's and 3's) are smaller and less expensive...

I am not sure how big the 2's are but they do 600gph (comparable to the 6025 @ 660gph) but they are lower power comsumption (4.5w vs. 7.5w) and only cost $31.99 (at 123fish.net) vs. $61.95 (at marinedepot.com).

I guess it would depend on what kind of flow you are looking for...I have heard that the nanostreams are a little tighter stream, but I don't have any experience with them...

The nanostream has a nice wide flow, fairly gentle...more so than the seio, but I can't compare to the koralia. From a functional standpoint I don't think you'll go wrong either way...the choice just comes down to price v. aesthetics I think.

agreed

And with a baby on the way...price is as big a factor as anything for me!

Civilized debates are great...usually when people disagree its because of difference in motivation for their opinion. Far too often people just state there opinion that something is "the best." But especially when giving advice, a conversation that uncovers the reason for contrasting opinions can be really helpful because it lets the person receiving the advice assess their own needs and preferences and go with the advice based on preferences more closely matching their own.
