Vitamin Supplements - looking for product recommendations

I have been soaking brown seaweed in Selcon for my Yellow Tang on the advice of several board members. I think I am seeing a difference after a month, my Tang is a bit fatter but the top fin is still ragged.
Are there any other vitamin supplements people would recommend? Any opinions on Zoe or Liquid Gold from Corallife? I also have read on the board that garlic is very good. How do I go about feeding my fish garlic, just chop up some store bought garlic?

Axel,

I have had my 100gal reef up for about 3 years. Over these years I think I have tried about EVERY suppliment available. My last regimen used Kent Iodine, Kent coral vite, DT's phyto and selcon.

Well I have stopped using ALL of it and I now only dose a product called Reef Solution by Aquatic Ecosystems. I only dose this one single suppliment daily (I also have a Ca reactor) and let me tell you.......IT WORKS!!!!!!!!

The fish color is excellent! The coral's color and expansion are also excellent. This product does what it says it will do. Jason at Premium Aquatics is also a believer. One 16oz bottle lasts me 23 days with dosing 15ml daily.

You might want to think about starting this suppliment. When you dump it in the tank, it semi-clouds the tank with lots of suspended matter. Big particles, small particle, etc. It clear in about a 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. Its very cost efficient and easy using this one suppliment only. The fish also eat some of the particles!!!!

Dennis, does this product list the ingredients?
I am not familiar with it but have used Selcon for a couple years now, not to start an argument or open a bag of snakes but I am leery of things that dont list ingredients, however I am open to new ideas

I would also think the fish would still benefit from the addition of selcon to their food. The HUFA's and vitamins probably aren't included in the reef solutions stuff.

Axel..the garlic we use is garlic gelcaps. We just puncture the gelcap and pour the garlic oil on food.

Doug,

First off......the product is by EcoSystems.....not Marc Weiss.

Ingrediants: Contains multiple minerals and trace elements found in natural sea water. Iodine, strontium, magnesium etc., Also contains multiple vitamins.

That is from the lable. The stuff is $15.50 a bottle....not 49.99 a bottle!!!!!!!!!!!

When you smell the stuff, it smells like vitamins. You know how liquid vitamins, like for children smell? This smells like that (maybe I've worked in the pharmacy too long! ). I have smelled marc weiss coral vital and it smells exactly like the first fermenting stage of hard apple cider!!!! Anyways....enough defence...the proof is in the pudding so to speak!!!!!!
