visitherm heater exploded=death HELP


ok my heater exploded in my nano, it was a visotherm, pos. well it killed my maited pair of clowns, and my neon goby. corals looked ok, but i dont know what to do now, any pointers.

Hello

Just be sure to get all of the glass out of the tank. Stay away from glass heaters!----Go with a Pro-Heat or Ebo-Jager titanium job. Guarnteed never to break---------HTH-Anthony

I agree. My wallyworld glass heater took a dive and kept tripping the breaker. In the course of troubleshooting I forgot to plug my chiller back in and killed our prettiest fish by boiling.

We have titanium heaters now in the tanks that need them and no heaters in the tanks that don't.
