the Brown you asked about sounds like Diatoms. check your water supply. make sure it is good water you are using to make up the saltwater.
a good cleaning and clean up crew will keep it in check and stop it.

if i can make a suggestion..
the frog.. since it is loose, move it to where the green stars are and move the green stars to the forg area. the star can take over a large area pretty fast if you are not watching it.
