VHO confusion

I know it means very high output but is it me or is there VHO fluorescent and VHO MH and other VHO's? Is there a guide to VHO somewhere?

I think the confusion might be that some light fixtures are advertised as VHO-MH. This means it has MH lights, and usually an extra VHO bulb or two for actinics (add some blue to the light).

You'll see this with PC too.

MH are great bulbs for corals...but some people don't like JUST MH lighting...as it's kind of plain and white...and doesn't floresce your corals very brightly.

So they add an extra bulb or two of actinic (blue) light.
