You gut the ich mun. Don't stress the fish check your water & temp, do small water changes, keep well fed with garlic mixed in the food. good luck. if you don't have a uv sterilizer you might want to look into one. Did you just add a new fish?

Same happens to me 2 days ago, do everything DSB said. In my tank it's on the yellow and hippo tang only but they are doing fine and they eat a lot, so that's a good sign. I hope they kick the hell out of the **** ick. I HATE ick!

Do a search on marine velvet and see if it looks anything like what you have.

I hope it's not marine velvet...makes ich look like the sniffles.

Remember that copper treatments are only effective if you monitor the copper level during the entire treatment period .. that often requires testing the water twice daily. If you used cupramine in your ST then maintaining proper doseage in the presence of calcium carbonate would be difficult and would potentially ruin both the LR and substrate ... if you treated the fish within a Qt environment but did not let your ST go fallow (to kill the ich within the ST) then placing the treated fish back into a contaminated ST would simply reinfect the fish.

The only thing I have heard of that kills velvet is copper...and then, not always. It's a real stink. And it will kill your fish in a few days, too...so if they are still around and looking okish, it's most likely not velvet.

I'm fairly certain that it isn't velvet, then.

Good news!

got any idea what it could be they used to be on the puffer but he got rid of most of them and loads of them are on the angle , but the angle is going through colour change so i expect it to be a bit frail, there realy tiny, cant be white spot as the copper has been in there for donkies, the grouper clowns yellow tang and parrot fish as well as the eel dnt seem to be effected at all in any way but trigger puffer and angel seem bit more lethargic then normal but there still eating

Perhaps a good starting point is to re-read the advice you got last yr when you made numerous posts about ich … I thought the advice you got from JennM and others was pretty good and should still apply.
