vertical strenght of plywood

Do you guys and galls think that 3/4 or 1 inch plywood will support a 30 gallon tank. I am wanting to build a bookcase with a built in refugium next to this 90 and have it flow into the 90. I am wanting to use plywood so I dont have to hide any vertical support members. What do you think. Here are pics of my progress so far. I drilled the tank myself for 6 1 inch bulkheads. 2 of the bulkheads go to the sump and the other 4 are for 2 independent closed loops.

Plywood Strength

You would be surprised at the strength plywood has. Engineering is always a factor. Some corner bracing might be needed to keep everything square.(some small triangles screwed in corners top and bottom) There are two types of plywood. Your everyday construction grade. And then cabinet grade which is devoid of any gaps or pockets. The second is very strong. My 180 is sitting on a stand built of 3/4" oak plywood with some oak 1X4's for accent. The stand is holding up roughly 2800 pounds. Lastly if your gluing make sure your wood glue is water proof.. Enjoy your project.

Thanks for the input guys, the tank is actually going to be about 4 feet off of the floor but the bookshelf will be tied into my 90 stand and attatched to the wall to prevent tipping. Here is the picks of the holes I drilled in the 90. I am going to make a coast to coast overflow for it also.
