Velocity T3


does anyone have any experience with this pump?

Custom Sealife Velocity Silent Aquarium Pumps (T3

they are supposed to be quite, I was just wondering if they were good or not?

I have heard they are great pumps! And also extremely quiet.

that they do, but that is what you get if you want a silent pump. the pump either has to be water cooled or air cooled. air cooled you get fan noise, water cooled you get extra heat in the water.

I swapped out my noisy Iwaki 55 for a T4 and the noise is gone and there has been no increase in heat. Oh, and my skimmer is running better than ever. I think the 55 was too big for the MRC-1.

I am old school and still use the noisy Little Gaint. I have had them last for so many years I have a hard time making a change. I really don't notice the noise anymore . just a hum coming from the tank. pumps and fans and the like and the sound of water movement. Just part of the hobbie, My wife don't notice it any more so I'm ok
