using phosban?

I have a filter sock... can I just throw phosban in that to lower my p04 or would it be better to get a reactor?

always better to get a reactor and start slow...the reactors are only 32.00

and I recommend Seachem!

putting it in a filter sock can cause the media to crush, and actually be released into the tank. much better idea to get a reactor, or build one somehow.

I have some p04 and it seems like everyone is using a a phos reactor these days. I think that I am going to try some water changes first before buying anything

i feel phosphate reactors are just expensive band-aids. by the time you need one of these your tank is already heading for a crash. the reactor just delays the process a bit.
