First I'd like to say Welcome!!

I think the most important kits to have are: Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, and Phosphate. As far brand Salifert brand kits are love by most people on The Reef Tank, although I do not know what is available to you in India.

As far as lowering your Nitrates, and Ammonia the best "natural" way is to find out why they are high, and do a water change!

We could try and help you find out what the problem is if you could answer a few questions.

How long has the tank been running?
What reading are you getting for ammonia and nitrate?
What fish do you have in your tank, and what size is the tank?

Welcome to TRT!!

i prefer the Salifert test kits.

if you add new LR to a system than there is a good chance that your ammonia/nitrite/nitrate levels will rise with each new piece you add.

Welcome to TRT!

I think that the most important ones once your tank has cycled are:

Ca
ALK
PH
Phospate

Nitrate
Magnesiam

If you tank is new you also need
Ammonia
Nitrite

Don't waist your money on anything but salifert.

I'm currently working on a write up for TRT about test kits. But might be a bit...in the mean time, you might find this helpful:

I agree that Salifert kits are the best - - although I like Reef Master because they use liquid chemicals. I have two test kits (Salifer and RM) for pH, ammonia, nitrate/nitrite, CA, magnesium, phospate.
