Well looks like I'm getting my power backup, I'll have the final price tomorrow (item plus shipping) and it should go out by friday or monday.

I'm getting an APC 2200 XL with an extra battery, will be able to run my pump for approximately 9 hours (100W draw = 11.5 hrs and 200W draw = 6.5 hrs / my mag 18 is rated at 145W),

plus I can daisy chain extra batteries onto it up to 10 total. 9 extra batteries would run the pump approximately 100 hours...

I was originally going to get an APC 3000 net but after talking to the seller he explained to me that the 2200XL would be better for my use. The XL models are meant for long run time and all of the wiring is much heavier gauge as well as the unit is designed for it. He told me that he was getting one in in a few days, well he has it, all new batteries, all tested and working fine. D*mn will it be nice not to have to worry about power outages. Power went out today, while I was at work, and my wife went to shut off the drain lines as well as the pump lines when it came back on (off for about 90 seconds she said) so luckily it did not overflow the sump but it came close. With the kids and all it's just too hard for her to rush to the tank and try and get everything shut down quickly. In the future I'm also going to set up the tank with a overflow reserviour just in case ***** happens but the UPS unit should pretty well solve my problem.
