Upgrade complete!
We have finally finished the upgrade from a 90 to our new 135. It took us all day today, but it is done! Everything has been acclimated and seems to be doing well. Our inhabitants of this tank include a 6 inch Naso tang, and 6 inch twin spot wrasse, and 6 yellow tail damsels (they are too busy whatching their own butts to do any damage). I hope to have some pictures posted soon. Right now I am keeping my eyes on the plumbing. No leaks during the 5 hours it has been running so far. I am keeping my figures crossed.

OK. Here are some pictures. I didn't have a chance to take many of them during the actual setup, but these are some of the near finished product. I will post some more once my wife finishews aquascaping and we get the canopy and lights on.
30 gallon Sump:
20 gallon refuge:
135 gallon tank without the canopy.
Our supervisor on her ballast surveying the work.

LMAO,
Yeah,m that is truely a one of a kind plumbing job. I don't think I could replicate that again no mater how hard I tried. We just put the canopy on the tank and have two of the three MH's on. When the third pug dries out we will turn it on and get some more pictures.

That was our Actinic lighting for awhile. Before we added actinics we were running 6500 K Mh only and it was a little yellow. My wife sponge painted the wall behind the tank. IT actually helped mellow out the yellow. I was hoping to get it painted white before the new tank was moved in, but time did not allow that.

Wow, I'm tired just looking at the pictures. Looks like you put a great deal of hard worok in to this.
I personally would like to copy what you have done....that looks really good. Is the external pump pulling all that water from the sump and then back to the main tank??? Do you have any pics of on-going contsruction?
anyhoo, In short, I like your set-up.
Cheers,
Rob

Thanks everyone!
Rob,
Yes the return pump is pulling from the sump. It then splits off into two 1 inch returns. On of them goes straight to the main tank. The other is T'd off. It sends part of the flow to the refugium and the rest of the flow to the main tank. All of the flow is controlled via ball valves. The refugium gets about 10 gallons per hour. It drains back to the sump by gravity. I will try to get some more pictures of the sump for you. We have spent so many hours getting this tank set up that we need some time to just sit back and enjoy it right now.
Andrew
